What is the India Games Showcase?
The India Games Showcase (IGS) is a digital event that aims to showcase new or upcoming Indie Games from India! The showcase will feature trailers for 40 to 50 curated games, aiming to draw global attention to the Indian development scene. Our primary focus is marketing and amplifying the region's indie games. This event will also have a dedicated Steam event. For those unfamiliar with the format, we recommend reviewing previous Summer Game Fest digital events. For example, check out the amazing SEA Showcase from last year!
When is the deadline to apply?
April 10th 2026 (Friday) - 11:59 PM IST is the last day for submissions
When will the showcase be aired?
The showcase is tentatively scheduled to take place during Summer Game Fest weekend (June 5th – June 8th 2026). More details to follow!
Where will the showcase be streamed?
At the moment, we are primarily looking to stream through Youtube and Twitch. However, we are also looking to approach partners for co-streaming. Stay tuned for more details on how you can be involved!
Which games will be selected?
We are primarily looking at recent and upcoming Indie games from Indian solo devs or Indian-led teams. Naturally, we will favor polished titles, as these games will be showcased and revealed to a global audience.
Is there a submission fee?
Nope. 100% free to apply!
Is there a Steam Event/Fest going with the digital showcase?
Yes! This will feature all the selected titles from the showcase.
Why should you apply?
As Indian game developers and creators, we know all too well how difficult and challenging it can be to market or have your game exposed to an international audience. The India Games Showcase hopes to address this by opting for a digital showcase and have it streamed to multiple platforms and various outlets.
Is this a part of Indie Game Utsav? How are they different?
Indie Game Utsav (IGU) is a physical event in partnership with Nodwin Gaming and Comic Con India. While IGU is also dedicated exclusively to highlighting indie game devs and indie games from India, it is completely separate from our digital showcase. With that said, members of the IGS team are also involved and have worked on IGU!
